Ozone Kiteboarding Kite collection

Ozone kiteboarding offers a wide collection of kites. There is a suitable Ozone kite for every level and riding style. If you're just starting out and looking for your first kite, you should consider a freeride kite from Ozone, such as the Ozone Catalyst or Ozone Enduro. The Ozone Reo is one of the best wave kites currently on the market and is also suitable for beginners. If you enjoy hangtime and high jumps, you should definitely consider the Ozone Edge or the Ozone Vortex. If you prefer freestyle, kite loops, and unhooked kitesurf tricks, the Ozone C4 is the way to go. Below, we have briefly described the Ozone kites and categorized them by riding style to provide you with a quick, concise overview of the Ozone kites. For questions about Ozone kites, you can always contact us for assistance.

Ozone Edge kite
The Ozone Edge can undoubtedly be called the most legendary kite from Ozone. The Ozone Edge has been an icon in the kitesurfing race segment for years and a solid choice for many performance freeride and big air kitesurfers like Jamie Overbeek. The Ozone Edge is a kite with a lot of power. This power can be converted into speed but also into height and incredibly long hangtime. With the hangtime, you can perform amazing air tricks and board offs with the Ozone Edge. The Ozone Edge is stable, and in the larger sizes, it may be a bit slow, but that's what makes the kite so enjoyable. The Edge features a strong 5-strut profile and performs well even in rough conditions.

Ozone Vortex Kite
The Ozone Vortex has recently been added to Ozone's range and introduced by the legend Jesse Richman. The Vortex is designed for advanced kitesurfers seeking maximum performance to get the most out of their sessions. The Ozone Vortex features an Aluula frame with three struts for an excellent wind range, from the slightest breeze to 40+ knots. The kite is designed for big-air disciplines and guarantees the thickest kiteloops! The kite has unique pulleyless bridles attached to no less than 16 points. The kite is flown on four lines.

Ozone Enduro Kite
The Ozone Enduro is a kite that encompasses all riding styles depending on how you set up the kite. Three settings allow the Ozone Enduro to behave as a freeride, wave, or freestyle kite. The perfect kite from Ozone if you're a beginner but aren't exactly sure which riding style you like best. The Ozone Enduro has an average bar pressure and is flown with 4 lines.

Ozone Reo Kite
Is ripping waves with a kite what you love most? The Ozone Reo wants nothing more than to maximize every wave! The Ozone Reo is designed to perform optimally in the waves. The Ozone Reo drifts with you when you're surfing a wave, provides power or depower when you want it, and steers quickly. If you accidentally make a nice wipeout between the waves, it's no trouble to get the Ozone Reo back in the air. Thanks to its easy relaunch and good depower, the Ozone Reo is also suitable for beginner kitesurfers.

Ozone Catalyst Kite
The Ozone Catalyst is a kite that allows you to enjoy freeriding even in the lightest winds. The excellent freeride characteristics and good relaunch also make this a kite that both beginner and advanced kiters will enjoy. The Catalyst is a single-strut kite with a very large wind range and a nice depower on the bar. Thanks to the single-strut design, a lot of weight is saved, allowing the kite to stay in the air even in the slightest breeze. A true all-round freeride kite with a lightweight design. The Ozone Catalyst is flown on 4 lines and has a single-line flag-out system.

Ozone Uno Kite
The Ozone Uno is a kite specially designed for the new generation of young kitesurfers. The Uno is a trainer kite that allows you to safely explore the wind window and even fine tune your waterstarts. The Uno V2 is available in only small sizes: 2.5, 4, and 6 meters. These sizes are rarely found elsewhere, making it ideal for the groms among us! The Uno has a single-strut design, making it lightweight and capable of flying well even in the slightest breeze. The kite is easy to relaunch due to the round shape of the Leading Edge, and its large wind range makes it a very user-friendly kite.

Ozone kite technology

Putting together a good kitesurfing kite isn't done haphazardly. It involves a lengthy design and development process, as well as a careful choice of materials for the kite canopy and lines. The technology and design capabilities that Ozone possesses for designing its kites are among the best in the market, partly due to the extensive range of kite products that Ozone manages to bring to the market every year. Below, you can read about the technologies that Ozone uses to design and produce its kites as effectively as possible.

Ultra-X Aluula
Ozone Kiteboarding has taken the time to implement the new Aluula material into its kites. It took them a sollid 3 years to bring the materials together to achieve the desired performance and durability that Ozone aimed for without making any compromises. Aluula provides a tensile strength increase of up to 38% compared to standard material constructions, while tear strength is up to seven times greater. By combining these benefits with a weight savings of 30%, this is the perfect frame material for the high-performance goals set for the Ultra-X kites.

Ozone OZ-CAD Design
All Ozone kites are designed and developed using Ozone's own advanced design CAD software. This allows Ozone designers to work with customized software capabilities with unique shapes and structures applicable to inflatable and foil kites. There is even a part of the Ozone design team dedicated to upgrading and perfecting the CAD design code for the development of new Ozone kites.

Ozone kiteboarding kite canopy
For the canopy used in all Ozone kites, Ozone collaborates with Teijin. Teijin is the global leader when it comes to producing strong polyester fabrics used in watersports including kitesurfing and sailing. The fabric used is Teijin Techno Force Double ripstop fabric. This fabric is extremely strong and has proven its durability over the years. Teijin Dacron is used in areas of the kite canopy that require extra strength and stability, such as the leading edge, struts, and wingtips.

Ozone's own kitesurfing factory
Of course, all the design and technology used in designing a kite depend on assembling the kite properly. Ultimately, this is often outsourced to kite factories of which the brand itself is not the owner and thus has no 100% control over. This is different at Ozone. All kites, paragliders, and wingsuits from Ozone are made in their own factory. This gives Ozone complete control over the production process, and you can be sure that all kitesurfing kites from Ozone have undergone rigorous quality control to meet the quality standards expected of Ozone's kitesurfing kites.
