Ozone Vortex V2 Ultra-X Kite
The reliable big air and kiteloop machine from Ozone
The Ozone Vortex V2 Ultra-X Kite has been upgraded to be better, more versatile, and more stable than ever. The V1 already built a strong reputation as a stable big air kite with powerful looping performance, and the V2 takes this even further. Key upgrades include a more direct steering feel thanks to a stiffer leading edge and refined canopy tension, improved durability with new Anti Flap Battens, better light wind performance, and the addition of a 17m size for maximum low wind sessions. If you are looking for a kite that steers fast and predictably, delivers strong forward drive, and offers huge lift and hangtime, this one is worth a closer look.
This Ozone Vortex combines lightweight materials with a clean and innovative design. The Aluula airframe provides a stiff and lightweight structure, giving you more power in low wind while maintaining stability in strong conditions. The 3-strut construction keeps the kite playful and fast, while the high aspect shape delivers impressive lift and long hangtime. The 16-point bridle combined with the stiff leading edge adds stability and more direct steering input, which is especially useful during kiteloops. Larger sizes, from 10m and up, feature a lighter double ripstop canopy for improved light wind performance. Smaller sizes use a stronger triple ripstop canopy for maximum durability during storm sessions. Together, these features create a kite that turns fast, delivers consistent power, and inspires confidence.
Compared to the Vortex V1, the Vortex V2 includes several important upgrades. The canopy tension has been retuned and the leading edge made stiffer, resulting in an even more direct feel and improved control. The new Anti Flap Battens reduce wear and help the kite maintain its shape over time. More focus has also been placed on the larger sizes. Sizes from 10m and up are lighter thanks to the use of 46g double ripstop material, making them feel fast and responsive for their size. A new 17m size has been added for maximum light wind sessions, currently one of the lightest 3-strut kites in this size category. The 16-point Technora bridles have also been further refined for better depower and smoother handling.
The kite is known for its powerful vertical boosts while remaining predictable during loops. Its forward drive prevents stalling and ensures a reliable catch after every jump. This gives you full control over your landings and the confidence to push new tricks. With a wide size range from 5 to 17 meters and strong performance in both light and strong winds, this is a versatile big air machine for advanced riders looking to progress with a stable premium Aluula kite. Going for a new height record, attempting a triple loop, or training big air in lighter wind, the Ozone Vortex V2 Ultra-X Kite is ready for it all.
