The North Astra 2022 is an all-terrain kiteboard. The Astra feels super playful, but is still powerful. North wanted a kiteboard with a more responsive flex for lighter or smaller riders. The kiteboard offers a lot of control in different conditions, gives a lot of comfort and ensures buttery soft landings. Astra's shorter board length, narrower stance and basalt technology construction give riders of all levels just the right amount of flex for controlled edging, boosting and huge kiteloops.

This year, the edge control and upwind performance have been significantly improved by optimally balancing the circumference, rocker and flex. The heart of the Astra is made of Paulownia wood with E-glass and unidirectional basalt tapes for a unique construction method. This construction has been chosen for a lightweight, stronger and responsive kiteboard. The Astra 2022 has a progressive rocker that allows you to plan faster and it improved the low-end performance.

The Astra 2022 has an integrated grab rail so you can easily do board-offs and more importantly, board-on is also easier! The Astra has a 20mm narrower foot positioning compared to the Atmos, giving smaller riders more control during every maneuver and easier tackling. The Astra 2022 comes with strong, wear-resistant composite fins with standardized M6x16mm screws.
