Where the Atmos Pro is built entirely from carbon, the Atmos goes for a Triaxial Hybrid Carbon construction. A custom triaxial fibreglass laminate forms the base, with 3DY-Beam carbon strips in the places where extra stiffness is needed. Those strips run in the direction of the load lines and increase both the overall stiffness and the torsional stiffness of the board. Meanwhile, the fibreglass around them makes sure the Atmos keeps flexing along with the water, so you do not feel every bit of chop straight in your knees.

The result is a balanced flex pattern that loads up dynamically and releases again. You edge in, feel the board bend and get a surprisingly explosive pop in return. Still, the Atmos stays forgiving: it cuts through choppy water a lot more comfortably than the Pro version. The medium-high outline curve delivers easy turns and plenty of grip, while the progressive medium rocker combined with the pulled-in tips gives you a bit of extra grip while edging and keeps you in control even when overpowered.

Under your feet you will find the double concave that flows into a deep-V spine. It breaks the surface tension of the water and makes your landings predictable and soft. The rail channels next to the concave and the quad channel tips push more water towards the fins, so you hold height easily and gain extra grip. The Atmos also has a deeply integrated grab rail for your board-offs and the FlipTech mount system, which lets you flip your bindings around as soon as your heelside rail is worn out.
