The Mercury is designed for optimal freedom of movement and to be worn with a waist harness, which is why the impact vest is semi-padded. In the lower back part of the impact vest is a so-called 'Grip Wave Tech area'. This area is provided with extra grip and prevents the harness from sliding unnecessarily.
