The Core Ripper 4 Surfboard is one of the most iconic surfboard models in the Core lineup. With this fourth version, Core has completely reworked the design, resulting in a more compact, wider and more versatile surfboard that feels at home in almost any wave condition. From knee-high North Sea chop to solid cross-shore swell, the Ripper 4 performs everywhere.

The biggest change is the new, wider outline with added volume through the middle of the board. This helps you catch waves more easily and gives you more control in weaker conditions. The new mini swallow tail replaces the rounded tail of its predecessor and adds lift, speed and extra grip in turns. You’ll notice that the Ripper 4 sits low in turns and carves smoothly along the wave face. Core has also refined the 3-stage rocker: a flatter mid-section maintains speed through weaker wave sections, while the tail rocker has been lowered by 6mm to generate extra speed out of turns.

The construction stays classic: a closed-cell PU foam blank, hand-shaped in Portugal, finished with a double wooden stringer and multiple layers of fiberglass and resin. This gives the Ripper 4 a smooth and responsive feel under your feet with plenty of direct feedback. Thanks to the tucked-under rails, the board offers excellent grip in turns, while the single concave bottom enhances control even further.

An added benefit of the wider and fuller shape is that many riders can choose a slightly smaller board size than usual. This makes the board even more maneuverable and comfortable in choppier water while maintaining stability and float. The Ripper 4 comes standard with a tail pad and is strap-ready, allowing you to ride it with or without straps. The FCS II fin boxes give you the freedom to adjust your fin setup to the conditions of the day.
