Most frequently asked questions about kite spare parts:
When should I repair parts and when should I replace them?
Whether you should repair or replace a part depends on the type of damage, the component, and your repair skills. Small leaks in hoses or bladders can often be fixed with a patch or valve sticker. Other minor issues can be temporarily repaired, but these are usually short-term solutions. When you’re dealing with wear, stretching, or cracks in load-bearing parts like bridles, pulleys, or safety lines, replacement is the safest choice. These components are under tension while kiting, and a temporary repair can cause more damage or even become dangerous. If your repair isn’t completely airtight or solid, we recommend replacement. New parts are reliable, strong, and give you full control over your kite again.
Not sure whether to repair or replace? Send us a photo via WhatsApp or visit our shop. We’ll take a look, discuss it with our repair department, and give you honest advice. This way, you can get back on the water safely and with peace of mind.
What if I can’t find the right spare parts on the website?
Can’t find the part you’re looking for on our website? No worries — that doesn’t mean we can’t get it. We have a large warehouse with parts that aren’t all listed online yet. We can also order many spare parts directly from the brand’s central warehouse. That way, you’ll often have the right part at home quickly and easily. For parts older than three years, it can sometimes be a bit more challenging, as not all brands keep older parts in stock for long. But even then, we’ll gladly help you find a suitable solution.
The best thing you can do: take a clear photo of the part you need, along with your kite or bar (including brand and model). Send it to us via email, WhatsApp, or visit the shop. Together, we’ll figure out what you need. Even if you’re not sure what’s broken, we’ll be happy to help. It’s always better to double-check than to hit the water with the wrong part!
How do I know which spare parts I need?
The spare parts you need depend on the brand, model, and production year of your kite. Not every part is universal, so it’s important to check carefully which one is damaged or worn. Pay attention to the hose diameter, valve type (for example, Boston or bayonet), and the exact shape of your bridles and pulleys. Sometimes, the information is printed on the part itself, but you can also compare it to your original setup or the kite’s manual. Don’t have it handy? No problem. Take clear pictures of both the part and your kite, then send them to us via email or WhatsApp. We’ll help you find the correct replacement together.
On our webshop, many products include details about which brands and models they’re compatible with. Use the filters or search function to find what you need faster. Still unsure? Don’t hesitate to reach out. We know the details of many kites and are happy to help. This way, you’ll be back on the water in no time!
