You want to pop unhooked on flat water, but as soon as the waves start rolling in you also want to ride down-the-line. That is exactly where the Duotone Dice SLS 2027 sits. This is the crossover in the Duotone line-up: fast, reactive and direct, with enough control to get you through a full session in the surf as well. Made for advanced and experienced kiters who simply don't feel like choosing.

Compared to the Dice SLS 2026, three things have changed. The construction has become stiffer and you pump the kite up to a higher pressure: 9 PSI for 10m and smaller, 8 PSI for 11m and bigger. You feel that mostly in your take-off, because the kite holds its shape and gives you a crisper pop back. On top of that, the strut layout has been revised. The Dice SLS flies more settled as a result and the bar pressure is more clearly defined, so you know better where the kite is without constantly correcting. Finally, the canopy tension in the tips has been optimised, and you notice that in your turns and loops. It turns tighter and stays predictable at the moment you need it most. The 2026 was already a great kite, this 2027 mainly feels a bit more mature and more controlled.

The core of the Dice SLS is the Strong Light Superior construction: a stiff Penta TX frame combined with weight savings wherever possible. Under load that frame barely deforms and that is exactly what you want when you go unhooked. You can edge harder, the pop comes out explosive and the slack you get is clean enough to pass the bar behind your back nice and smoothly.

In the waves the Dice SLS shows why that crossover status is justified. Ride towards the kite on a wave and it doesn't drop out of the sky, it drifts along with you. That drift gives you the room to finish your bottom turn without having to keep an eye on the kite. Steering is direct and instinctive.
