For most kitesurfers riding cold water, a 5/4 is the wetsuit that clocks the most sessions. From the last warm days in October right up to the point where the water warms back up in April, this is what you'll be standing on the beach in. The biggest gain is Graphene Plush 2.0. This inner lining comes from the iconic Seek Select and sits on the back panel of the Amaze Amp, the panel that feels cold first once the wind pulls across it. You won't notice it the moment you pull the suit on, but you will after an hour and a half on the water. You stay warmer, your muscles stay looser and you squeeze in that extra lap.

On the outside you get recycled Max_Flex, a lining that's impressively flexible and never limits how you move. At 5/4mm that's not a luxury. The thicker the neoprene, the sooner a wetsuit starts fighting your shoulders, and that's exactly where the Amaze Amp stays supple. Pulling the bar in, pushing yourself back up after a crash or reaching for a grab all happen without running into resistance.

The frontzip is the choice for kiters who want as little water in as possible. The zip across the chest closes off tightly and the back stays completely free, which gives you extra freedom of movement between your shoulder blades. It takes a bit of getting used to when you pull it on, and after that you usually don't want anything else.

Not sure about the thickness? If you mainly kite between November and March and spend a lot of time in the water, the 6/5 hooded from the same Amp line is the better call.
