Prolimit Flare 4/3 Double Frontzip 2027 Wetsuit
Flexible 4/3 women's wetsuit from Prolimit for the whole season
April through October, and with a bit of luck a few extra weeks on either end. That is the range of the Prolimit Flare 4/3 Double Frontzip 2027, which makes it the wetsuit that racks up most of your hours. Prolimit built the Flare around freedom of movement, and in 4/3mm that comes through the clearest: less material around you, more feel in your arms and shoulders while you work on your tricks.
The double frontzip runs on the free-zip system, where you lock the zip down at the front. That lets the wetsuit open up wide so you can step in easily, even when you are in a rush because the wind is finally kicking in. The Zodiac2 inner lining with Velvet Airflex helps there too: it feels soft and slides smoothly over your skin instead of dragging.
That same Zodiac2 does the insulation work on the water. The jacquard velvet fleece sits on a quick drying thermal layer that pulls moisture off your skin and releases it again fast. On the outside you get Down Airflex, a water repellent material that dries quickly and keeps most of the wind out. Between two sessions on a long summer day that really pays off: you are not pulling on a soaking wet, freezing cold wetsuit for round two.
The rubber is NaturePrene2, made from natural rubber from FSC certified plantations and enriched with oyster shell powder. Completely neoprene free, light and stretchy. The panels are triple glued and blind stitched, where the needle only goes part way through the material so no holes run all the way through. The thread ends are finished off with tape. On top of that you get KED knee panels for protection that stretches along, drainholes to let water out and ankle straps to stop flushing. The wetsuit is CE certified.
