The Carved Ultra 3 pads and straps are built for kiters who want their feet properly locked in. You adjust the straps with a single dial. Turn it right to tighten, left to loosen. Not feeling quite right? Just give it a quick turn out on the water. Carved calls this the Reel Fit System.

The system tightens the strap evenly on both sides, so the pressure spreads across your whole instep instead of building up in one spot. Your foot stays locked in, without that nagging pressure point halfway through your session. Found your perfect setting? A marker shows exactly where it was, so you can dial it straight back in.

The Ultra 3 Pad takes care of the rest of the comfort. Your toes rest against a raised ridge, which keeps your foot in place when you unhook and when you're edging hard. The foam isn't too soft and isn't too hard. You still get a good feel for the kiteboard underneath you, with plenty of damping in choppy water and on landings.

The Union Baseplate underneath fits kiteboards with 6 to 6.5 inch insert spacing as well as kiteboards with a track system. The only board they don't fit is the Imperator V. Slide the pads forward or back to set up your stance exactly how you like it. Swapping the padding takes just a few steps, handy if you want a thicker set for winter.
