Wind on the forecast, but the water is still chilly? Then the Prolimit Ace Steamer V-Zip 4/3 Wetsuit is the one you grab from your van. This 4/3 has 4mm material around your torso and 3mm on your arms and legs, exactly the balance that gets you through long spring and autumn sessions without your teeth starting to chatter. The V-Zip runs vertically down your back, in other words a back zip, and that is still the quickest way to get your suit on and off. In the Ace, Prolimit packs in all the features you actually need and leaves out the rest, which you can see in the price.
To keep that extra warmth in, there is an HR+ lining on the chest and back. This lining reflects your body heat and holds less water, so your torso stays warm and your suit dries faster after your session. On the arms and legs you get the soft Airflex 500+ lining, so you are not fighting your wetsuit while steering or during a board off.
The material itself is Airflex 500+ and 350+ NaturePrene2. This rubber comes from FSC-certified rubber trees, is 100% neoprene free and gives you the same stretch, insulation and lifespan as classic neoprene. So expect a suit that moves smoothly with you instead of limiting your freedom of movement.
The panels of the Ace Steamer are triple glued and blind stitched with GBS seams. The needle does not go all the way through the material, so hardly any water gets in through the seams. Every thread end is finished with tape and the gluing is done with water-based glue, kind to your skin and better for the environment.
