When the water drops towards ten degrees you do not want to think about your wetsuit, you just want to get on the water. The Prolimit Ace Steamer V-Zip 5/4 is made for exactly that. A 5/4 steamer with all the basic features you need and no expensive extras beyond that. With it, Prolimit puts a suit on the market that gets you through the whole cold season without draining your savings account.
The V-Zip is a vertical back zip with a YKK zipper running the full length of your back. That opening is nice and wide, so you step in and out without a struggle. Ideal if you are not in the mood for the fussing a front zip sometimes involves, or if you simply want to get on the water fast. Back on the beach it comes down just as easily.
With 5mm around your body and 4mm in the arms and legs, the Ace Steamer keeps your core warm while your arms and legs stay free to move. On the chest and back there is an HR+ lining with 500+ lining. It holds on to your body heat and absorbs less water, so the suit also dries faster after your session. Exactly what you want in autumn, winter and early spring on the North Sea.
The suit is made from NaturePrene2, Prolimit's 100% neoprene free rubber from FSC-certified rubber trees. In the water you will not notice any difference, other than the same stretch and warmth you are used to from limestone neoprene. The Airflex 500+ and 350+ panels deliver flex in the places where you need it. The seams are triple glued and blind stitched, so hardly any water gets in and the suit has a long lifespan.
