Prolimit Predator 6/4 Free-X Hooded 2027 Wetsuit

Keep kiting through winter with this hooded wetsuit from Prolimit

January, five degree water and a beach with nobody else on it. That is the playground of the Prolimit Predator 6/4 Free-X Hooded 2027 Wetsuit. You get 6mm NaturePrene2 around your torso and 4mm on your arms and legs, so you hold on to your heat without wrestling the suit every time you work the bar. Prolimit builds the hood straight onto the suit, which not only keeps your head warm but also shields your neck and throat.

This hooded version is the only Predator of 2027 with FTM taped seams. The seams are triple glued, blind stitched on the inside and sealed on the outside with a wide black carbon neoprene seal. That is a step above the GBS seams on the thinner Predators, and exactly what you want when flushing is the difference between one hour and three hours on the water.

The chest and back panels have been updated for 2027 here as well, the biggest change compared to last year's 6/4 Hooded. The asymmetric Free-X frontzip stays. It runs diagonally across your chest, leaves your back completely free and gives your upper body room to twist during a transition or a backroll.

On the outside there is Down Airflex, water repellent and quick drying, which is worth more in winter than you would think. Less water in the material means less windchill once you are back on the beach. The inside is lined with Zodiac 2 with Velvet Airflex, a velvet fleece with a quick drying thermal layer that pulls moisture away from your skin. The NaturePrene2 Oystershell is completely neoprene free, made from natural rubber from FSC certified plantations with oyster shell powder and soybean oil.

Drainage holes, ankle straps and KED knee pads finish it off. If you want the warmth but not the hood, the 5/4 Free-X is the logical step down.
