Because the steering pressure has been reduced, pulling a kiteloop is much easier and more comfortable. This new Rebel D/LAB gave us a huge confidence boost. How did Duotone manage to achieve these improvements? There are two clearly visible changes. The most obvious one is the new, Duotone-exclusive Aluula D/TX material on the leading edge and struts. Duotone D/TX Aluula is still super light and stiff, but slightly less rigid than before. That’s a good thing, it makes the Rebel D/LAB feel more friendly and forgiving. The rest of the construction consists of Duotone Trinity TX canopy material and various SLS reinforcements.

Another major upgrade is the pulley-less bridle and the direct tip-to-steering-line connection. This upgrade provides super direct input and significantly reduces steering pressure. As a result, kiteloops are even easier to control. With these new upgrades, Duotone also had to fine-tune the overall arch and leading-edge diameter to achieve the perfect balance between turning speed, lift and stability. The result: an upgraded Duotone Rebel D/LAB 2026 that perfectly matches the modern demands of big air kitesurfers.
