The deck of the Slingshot Hypermiler is a concave deck, providing good feedback from your foil during turns and other manoeuvres. It also helps you remember the sweet spots more easily if you ride strapless. The deck does not have EVA, but instead features a Textured Grip. By using Textured Grip, Slingshot has been able to save a lot of weight while providing excellent grip when the foilboard is wet. The subtle scoop in the nose prevents the foilboard from biting when landing hard from a high jump. The beveled rails prevent the foilboard from suctioning to the water, allowing you to sail again immediately after a touch-down.

The Slingshot Hypermiler has numerous inserts, allowing you to place the straps as you like. However, the inserts in the middle have been omitted because the foilboard is designed to be ridden with the front straps in a V-configuration. This will make it easier for you to sail upwind and maintain your edge easily. The foil can be attached to the foilboard using the 'adjustable track foil mount.' Two rails and four track nuts allow you to position your foil more forward or backward so you can find the sweet spot for your height, weight, skills, and preferences.
