Core 720 IV Surfboard
Playful strapless freestyle board for every kiter from Core
The Core 720 IV Surfboard is the answer to a question many twintip riders have: how do you make the transition to a surfboard as easily as possible? Thanks to its compact design and user-friendly handling, this board allows for fast progression, even if you're stepping onto a directional board for the very first time. At the same time, its compact shape and thin yet durable construction make it incredibly easy to keep attached to your feet during freestyle tricks. Think strapless jumps, grabs, rotations and small wave hits. The 720 IV feels light, direct and playful, exactly what you're looking for when you want an active and dynamic ride.
What's new on the 720 IV? Core has further refined the shape. The board is now thinner and features less tail rocker. As a result, the 720 IV feels more direct, rides faster and makes going upwind easier. You'll especially notice the improved efficiency in lighter winds, where the board glides effortlessly across the water. The flatter channels create a looser feel, making it easier to slash, play around and change direction quickly.
The construction of the CORE 720 IV is built to handle abuse. The durable XPS sandwich construction provides a strong platform with controlled flex characteristics. In addition, an extra sandwich layer now protects the entire rail against impacts. A valuable upgrade, as strapless freestyle boards often take a beating. The flat deck increases stability under your feet, while the thruster setup with FCS II fin boxes makes swapping fins quick and hassle-free.
As you've probably noticed, the rider profile of the Core 720 IV Surfboard is extremely broad. If you're new to surfboards and want to progress from your twintip into strapless freestyle or wave riding, the stable shape will help you build confidence quickly. If you're already experienced in strapless riding, the 720 IV delivers the response and control needed for faster tricks and more airtime.
