Duotone has made the 2027 version stiffer and more stable without losing the fast, playful character the Dice is known for.

The biggest change is in the frame. The Dice SLS has become structurally stiffer and can therefore be flown at a higher pressure. Sizes up to and including 10m are pumped up to 9 PSI, from 11m upwards it's 8 PSI. This keeps the frame in shape better when you load the kite hard. During a powerful take-off or a powered loop, the pull feels more even and the kite stays nicely predictable.

The strut layout has been adjusted too. This makes the Dice SLS sit more calmly in the air and gives clearer bar pressure. You spend less time searching for where the kite is and can steer it purely on feel. Duotone has also adjusted the canopy tension around the tips. As a result, the kite turns tighter and responds more directly when you steer it hard.

For freestyle, the Dice SLS remains a brilliant machine. The stiff Penta TX frame barely deforms when you edge hard against the kite, which makes it easy to build up the tension for explosive pop. After your take-off, the kite gives you enough slack to pass the bar for technical unhooked tricks.

That stiffer construction works great for kiteloops as well. The Dice pulls evenly through the loop and climbs back up quickly for the catch. It feels fast and direct, but stays controllable when you dare to send it harder and lower.

And then there are the waves. The Dice SLS drifts along easily when you ride towards the kite and responds instantly the moment you need it again. That lets you keep riding your line on the wave without constantly having to manage the kite. It's what makes the Dice SLS a true crossover for kiters who like to combine freestyle, loops and waves.
