Sporty high-performance all-round kite from Duotone

The Duotone Evo SLS 2027 Kite is made for riders who do not want to choose just one discipline. Massive boosts and kiteloops today, hooked freestyle tomorrow, and a relaxed freeride or wave session the next time you hit the water. The Evo SLS combines all of these disciplines in one sporty kite with plenty of control. It feels direct, gives clear feedback through the bar, and offers a huge wind range. Exactly what you want as an advanced rider who likes to mix things up from session to session.

For 2027, Duotone has updated the frame of the Evo SLS. The Flex Strut is gone and has been replaced by thinner, significantly stiffer struts. This reduces frame deformation when the kite is heavily loaded. For example, when edging hard for a jump or initiating a kiteloop while fully powered. The kite holds its shape, reacts directly to steering input, and maintains its turning speed. Especially when riding aggressively, you will notice that the Evo SLS continues to feel solid and controlled.

The pressure in the frame has also been increased. Sizes up to and including 10m are inflated to 9 psi, while the 11m and larger are inflated to 8 psi. This higher pressure makes the airframe stiffer and more responsive. Combined with the SLS construction, this gives you a kite that translates steering input into action quickly.

Another important update is the canopy profile. This gives the Evo SLS more progressive bar pressure and makes it easier to feel where the kite is positioned in the wind window. Especially when the wind becomes gusty or you are riding fully powered, this provides plenty of confidence. The canopy connection at the tips has also been optimized for cleaner airflow and improved stability.

Jumping remains one of the Evo SLS's strongest qualities. The kite generates explosive vertical lift and then gives you plenty of hangtime. Ideal for board-offs, grabs, and technical rotations. When you pull a kiteloop, the Evo SLS turns quickly and comes back above you smoothly for the catch. Still, this kite is not all about big air. Its strong depower, fast turning, and drift also make it a lot of fun for sessions on a surfboard!

The Evo SLS 2027 is available in sizes from 5m up to 13m. For sizes 5m through 9m, Duotone recommends 22-meter lines and an S bar. From 10m upward, use 24-meter lines and an M bar. Looking for the same performance with a more considered choice of materials? The Concept Blue version uses materials including undyed fabric, a bio-based bladder with up to 57% bio-based carbon content, and components made from recycled production material. Only the 5m is not available as a Concept Blue version.

The Duotone Evo SLS 2027 is therefore a true all-round performance kite.
