Cabrinha FX 2021

The Cabrinha FX is known for its good pop and fast steering behaviour and is ideal for freestyle tricks. This is a hybrid freestyle kite with the pop and direct feel of a C-kite, but with the advantages of a kite with bridles. Unhooks, kiteloops and high jumps, nothing is too crazy for the Cabrinha FX 2021!
The Cabrinha FX is a high performance freestyle kite for the advanced kiter for whom the sky is the limit! The FX has a hybrid shape that combines the advantages of a C-kite with the versatility of bridles. The kite feels mega direct and steers nice and fast in the turns. Cabrinha Contra 3S 2021

The Cabrinha Contra 3 Strut will give you a superb session in minimal conditions! This kite has a great low-end, a lot of power and is the largest kite in the Cabrinha Range. Would you like to be the first on the water? Then the Cabrinha Contra 2021 might be the kite you are looking for! The Contra 2021 3 Strut offers the low-end grunt you need and lets you race across the water in the lightest breeze! The Cabrinha Contra 2021 comes in three different sizes: 13, 15m or even 17m for heavier riders. This year the brand also comes with a 1 strut version of the Contra, which is only available in the smaller sizes.
The Cabrinha Contra 2021 has a 3-strut, hybrid design and very low drag wingtips. The ability to extend any kite quiver well into light wind speeds is unmatched. Cabrinha Moto 2021

The Cabrinha Moto is Cabrinha's most versatile kite and for 2021 the brand has gone back to the drawing board with this model. A completely redesigned Moto with more forward drive and improved handling in all conditions. The Moto kite is not in the Cabrinha range for that long, but this kite quickly grew into one of the most popular models of the brand. The Cabrinha Moto owes this to its friendly, yet very playful character. The Moto 2021 can be used for beginners to advanced freeride kite surfer. Most riders who hang on the moto for the first time are immediately addicted to its responsive nature and excellent flying characteristics. The Cabrinha 2021 Moto has a 3-strut, hybrid design with medium aspect ratio, reactive wingtips and fast, lean and efficient profiles.
The all new Cabrinha Moto 2021 has an improved forward drive. This has improved the Moto's overall performance with instant response and control. To aid in the forward drive, the Moto profile has been improved. Cabrinha has also adjusted the shape of the Arc, with the coning reduced to make it fly faster through the wind window. Cabrinha Drifter 2021

The Cabrinha Drifter is a very popular kite among the waveriders among us. This kite has a great drift, steers very fast and feels light on the bar. Thanks to the very good depower you can steer the kite hard and keep it moving in the waves, without being pulled off your surfboard. The 2021 Drifter has been further developed and perfected to give you the best surfing experience in all conditions.
Sometimes you actually don't want to have to pay attention to your kite at all. That's exactly what the Cabrinha Drifter is all about. You can just position this kite on the wave and focus on your session. Hard ripping, that's what the Cabrinha Drifter 2021 is all about! Yet this kite is also super versatile and suitable for a large group of kiters. Even beginners will appreciate the Drifter 2021 because you can control the kite so easily and the Drifter also has a very good depower.

What is the best Cabrinha Kite for myself?

Cabrinha has a range of kites for each riding style and skill level. The Cabrinha Switchblade is the Allround Freeride and Big Air Kite in the range and does suit beginners as well as pro riders. The Cabrinha FX is great for for advanced riders that enjoy freestyle, high powered kite loops and a super direct and fast kite. The Cabrinha Moto is the most versatile kite suitable for freeriding, wave riding and foiling. This kite is accessible for beginners as well as advanced riders. The Cabrinha Drifter is the kite for wave riding and foiling. Thanks to its lower bar pressure its also suitable for beginners, but specialised in use for strapless riding. The Cabrinha Contra 3S is the three strut light kite by Cabrinha. If you want to be the first on the water or live at a light wind spot, get the Contra 3S.

Which Cabrinha Kite is beginner friendly?

The Cabrinha Switchblade, Cabrinha Moto and Cabrinha Drifter are all beginner friendly. However, these kites are also very different in terms of bar pressure and flying characteristics. How many kites do I need for kitesurfing?

To start off, obviously one kite is enough to hit the water. However, it makes sense to have at least two kites to be able to cover a wider wind range. For most riders, a full range consists of three kites. However, if you cross over into other disciplines, you might want to get specialized kite(s) for foiling or freestyle as well – there is no such thing as too many toys!

How do I choose the right kite size?

This depends on the size of your quiver (number of kites you already own, or you are planning to purchase), as well as your own body weight and size, home spot, favourite style and discipline. Most riders get two-three kites: a smaller kite for strong winds and storms, one kite for the average wind speeds at your home spot and one kite for light wind sessions.
