The first two editions of the Kitemana Big Air Team Contest were an instant success. Unfortunately our 2025 edition didn't go ahead, but we're back in 2026! With around 90 participants and teams from all over the Netherlands, an intense battle was fought with impressive jumps and serious action. Via Surfr live scoring on a big screen, all supporters could follow the contest up close and cheer their favourite team to victory. The enthusiasm from both participants and spectators was palpable. In the end, team Duotone took the win in 2023, and last year our very own team Kitemana came out on top!

Do you always push yourself and your friends to the highest level on the water? And do you dare to take on the other high-flyers in the Netherlands? Sign up now for the Kitemana Big Air Team Contest 2026, taking place this autumn at KSN surf club in Noordwijk. No fewer than 18 teams will compete for the trophy, so join forces with your friends and build a team that works perfectly together to reach maximum height! Registration is open now! Email: Loek@kitemana.nl and who knows, you and your crew might be competing for the title of Big Air Team Champions 2026! Sign up by April 14. After that, the teams will be announced.
Unique team battle
What makes this kitesurfing event so special is that you take to the water as a team of 4. It's not just about your highest jump — it's about the combined total of the highest jump from each member of your team. Various clubs, brands and maybe even your team will go head-to-head in this contest, competing for the biggest jumps and the top spot. Scores are tracked easily via the Surfr App, so you're always up to date with the results. The Surfr App live scoring is then displayed in real time on a big screen so you can follow everything happening on the water as it happens.
This event promises to be spectacular, not just for the participants but for spectators too. Whether you're a kiter or not, this is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy incredible stunts and of course an amazing after-party at KSN Noordwijk! Here you can relax and celebrate after a day full of action and adrenaline.
Location
The Big Air Team Contest 2026 will be held at Kust Surfvereniging Noordwijk (KSN). This legendary surf club is home to big air champions including Ruben Len10, Kevin Langeree, Lasse Walker and Bart Wassenaar. If you can't reach incredible heights here, we don't know where you could ;-) Moreover, KSN is the perfect place to cheer on participants from the beach, and after the contest you're more than welcome to enjoy some food and drinks!

The Kitemana Big Air Team Contest 2026 will take place on a weekend between 6 September and 18 October with more than 20 knots of wind. Don't miss this chance to be part of the Kitemana Big Air Team Contest! Sign up now and experience a day full of adrenaline, competition and fun. Register by sending an email to Loek@kitemana.nl. You don't need to specify which four team members will take to the water at this stage — you can even decide that on the day itself. Just include your team name and motivation, and who knows, you might soon be competing in the most fun Big Air contest ever!
