Pivot Q Series 2027 Naish
The Naish Pivot Q Series 2027 has become lighter, faster and more direct. For this kite, Naish deliberately combines materials from different suppliers, so that every part gets exactly the material that works best in that spot. A new Code-Tec-95p trailing edge, a blended dacron leading edge and Updated Profile Shaping deliver more lift, a better low-end and a nicely direct steering response.

Naish Pivot Q Series 2027 Kite
Lighter and faster allround kite from Naish
The Pivot has been one of the best-known allround kites from Naish for years. Freeriding, big air, catching a wave or a session on the foil: the Pivot feels at home pretty much everywhere. For the Naish Pivot Q Series 2027 Kite, Naish didn't simply pick one material for the entire kite. Instead, they use materials from different manufacturers and apply each one where its properties come into their own. The result is a strong combination of low weight, stiffness and flex.
The biggest change is in the trailing edge. Here, Naish now uses Code-Tec-95p ripstop. This material is slightly heavier than Quad-Tex, but strong enough to be used in a single layer. Previously, two layers of Quad-Tex were needed here. On balance, that makes the trailing edge lighter. And because this part of the kite moves a lot while steering, you notice it straight away. The Pivot responds faster to your steering input and feels livelier and more direct.
Naish deliberately combines two types of dacron in the leading edge as well. Stiffer dacron is used in the middle, so the kite holds its shape nicely under high loads and feels stable. Towards the wingtips the dacron becomes more flexible. This allows the tips to twist more easily when you pull the bar. The result is a kite that stays solid and controlled when the wind picks up, while still steering quickly and turning easily through its arc.
The third major update is the Updated Profile Shaping. Naish has refined the profile further, making the Pivot fly more efficiently through the air and generate more lift. You get off the water more easily while also benefiting from a better low-end. So when the wind drops off for a moment, the Pivot holds its power for longer. The great thing is that this extra performance doesn't come at the expense of its well-known allround character.
Looking for one kite that takes you everywhere from freeride and big air to wave and foil? Then the Naish Pivot Q Series 2027 Kite remains a very interesting allrounder.
