Flexible all round winner from Prolimit
Boardoffs, handlepasses or simply unhooking smoothly for a transition: it all starts with shoulders that move freely. That is why the Prolimit Predator 4/3 Free-X Frontzip 2027 Wetsuit keeps your upper body as loose as possible. The asymmetric Free-X zip runs diagonally across your chest and leaves your entire back free, so nothing works against you when you twist. Prolimit pairs that with 4mm neoprene on your torso and 3mm on arms and legs, the classic ratio for spring and autumn in temperate water.
For 2027 the Predator got updated chest and back panels. That is the main change compared to last year, and it sits exactly where wind on wet neoprene bothers you most. For the rest this is the Predator as you know it, with the familiar combination of Down Airflex on the outside and Zodiac 2 on the inside.
That Down Airflex outer layer feels soft, repels water and dries incredibly fast. The Zodiac 2 lining with Velvet Airflex takes the moisture off your skin and releases it again, which makes the suit easier to pull on and shortens the drying time. The NaturePrene2 Oystershell underneath is 80 percent natural rubber from FSC certified plantations, topped up with recycled carbon black, oyster shell powder and soybean oil.
The GBS seams are triple glued, blind stitched and taped over per thread. That keeps the water out without the seam limiting your movement. At the bottom you get drainage holes and ankle straps, and on the knees the sturdy but flexible KED panels.
