The Reedin SuperModel AFT 2026 Kite, already one of the most popular allround kites on the market for years, opens a new chapter with this updated version. Reedin focused on improving the frame, weight, and steering feel. The biggest innovation is the new Aerolite Frame Technology (AFT). For the first time, Reedin moves away from traditional dacron and introduces a high tenacity polyester Aerolite material in the leading edge. This material features a denser weave and higher quality, making the kite stiffer and more direct. The result is quicker steering response, more control in turns, and a more precise bar feel.

The design team at Reedin, including Damien Girardin, Ralf Grösel, and Kevin Langeree, has also refined the rest of the construction. The kite features fewer segments in the wingtip structure, which reduces weight and creates a more aerodynamic profile. This makes the SuperModel AFT the lightest SuperModel ever, something you will especially notice in light wind performance and drift when riding a surfboard or foil. As an example, the 8m 2026 SuperModel weighs 2.45 kg, compared to 2.55 kg last year. A small difference with a big impact.

Another key update is the revised bridle geometry. Reedin redesigned it to work perfectly with the new Aerolite frame. This keeps the kite balanced under load and improves overall control.
